Eye of the Hurricane or Silence is Deceitful-2

When your world is totally ruined by a hurricane, you have no choice but to start all over from scratch. This might take years. For anyone who is watching that from far away it may seem as a heartbreaking tragedy. However, I can tell you one of life's hidden secrets - destruction begets into the world youth and growth. You are the first drop of rain in a hurricane. If you have fire in your blood and hurricane in your bones, you shouldn't build a birdcage around yourself. In the blink of an eye, you will shatter that silly cage around your beautiful carefree spirit. If you had the wind knocked out of you one day, you would better pick yourself up and decide to become the hurricane instead.

All of the above sounds more like a poetry. It should not be considered as a manual to drive yourself creasy for no apparent reason.

A bit more about the work itself. This is one of several artworks that I conditionally call – jaws. The first one was a painting which I painted 30 or so years ago. Jaws are a symbol of danger, threat, and anxiety. I am not sure why I have been drawn to this subject matter over the years. It is not like I have ever been prone to flashes of uncontrollable rage. However, this conceptual motif haunts me subconsciously for quite some time. Perhaps, it is an overcompensation of reality, or maybe just a reflection of some hard-rock music tracks. Or maybe, it is an echo on the extremely powerful Cape Verde hurricane Irma that I lived through in Naples, Florida in 2017.
