title: Beauty and the beast; Dissociative identity disorder
Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, an intense interest in spiritualism, parapsychology, and hypnosis sparked many studies of the split personality phenomenon. Hypnotists observed second personalities emerging during hypnosis and wondered how two minds could coexist. The last centuries saw a number of reported cases of multiple personalities; there was a general realization that emotionally disturbing experiences could cause long-term mental disorders. Not many people believe if this sickness even exists, or they rather think that the person is performing. There is no category in psychiatry called split personality. The term is commonly used in popular language to indicate a contradictory and dramatically alternating type of behavior of the "Jekyll and Hyde" kind. It is often confused with the medical illness of schizophrenia.
Schizophrenia as a psychiatric mental disorder is not the same as dissociative identity disorder, previously known as multiple personality disorder; in popular culture the two are often confused. Dissociative identity disorder (DID) diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss; in addition, symptoms cannot be due to drug use. DID is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities (known as alter egos or alters), each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. Schizophrenia most commonly manifests as hallucinations, paranoid delusions, with significant social or occupational dysfunction.
DID positive signs and symptoms are unusual thoughts and perceptions that often involve a loss of contact with reality. These symptoms may come and go. They may include: hallucinations, or sensing things that aren't real. Delusions and beliefs that have no basis in reality. For example, you may believe that Evil or God is directing your behavior or that outside forces are controlling your thoughts. You may impersonate yourself with a fictional character such as Batman, Superman, Cat-woman, Terminator, etc. as well.
The causes of DID have not been identified yet, but are theoretically linked with the native ability to dissociate memories or experiences from consciousness, but this idea is not universally accepted.

This is such a feast for the eyes.. So many interesting things for the eyes to rove over.. And the tinge of color breathes life into the whole piece.. Just didn't like the face of the woman in the catwoman mask... too stiff looking..

The works are extraordinary beautiful. Even more interesting is the psychological meanings behind the image. I want to know more by the figure of George Grie. I've had bipolar disorder (bipolar disorder) for years.

Karya-karya yang luarbiasa Indah. Yang lebih menarik ada makna-makna psikologis di balik gambarnya. Saya ingin kenal lebih jauh dengan sosok George Grie. Saya pernah mengalami gangguan bipolar (bipolar disorder) selama bertahun-tahun.

Are you available for producing a single piece of artwork for a large US communications company's advertising campaign? I would be very interested in discussing this with you or your agent. You can be confident that this is completely legitimate inquiry.
