title: Gothic fantasy or Expiatory temple
Initially this image has been inspired by The Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia, the unfinished masterpiece of Barcelona’s most celebrated architect, Antonio Gaudi. This famous surreal and modernist architecture has been a source of creative inspiration for many artists. Its surrealistic nature and visual appearance cannot leave you untouched. Its eerie, shaking lines and omnipresent details make it unique among Europe’s many cathedrals, and its spires were intended to represent Christ’s Twelve Apostles. Despite the fact that work still continues on the cathedral to this day, it lies in a perpetual state of incompleteness, with only one of its three façades actually finished. The Spanish cathedral presented in American environment of Niagara Falls gives the temple image an additional icy appearance that corresponds to the surrealistic and gothic architectural style of this great well-known creation.
Gothic art architecture is a style that flourished during the high and late medieval period. It evolved from Romanesque and was succeeded by Renaissance architecture. Its characteristic features include the pointed arch, the ribbed vault and the flying buttress. Gothic architecture is most familiar as the design of many of the great cathedrals, abbeys and parish churches of Europe. It is also the architecture of many castles, palaces, town halls, universities, and to a less prominent extent, private dwellings. The primary Gothic art mediums were sculpture, panel painting, stained glass, fresco and illuminated manuscript. Gothic art told a narrative story through pictures, both Christian and secular.

Gothic Fantasy Art, like two wings in perfect syncopation, fuses the dark and grotesque images of the Gothic with the enchanting and magical spirits of our fantasies. The Gothic style has a long tradition of importance within art, architecture. etc.
